The Carbon Fiber tape was then dremel'ed on the edges, and I must say, that even the epoxy have not reached full cure ( prob. 48 hrs with the cold overnight temps) the brace is noticeably stiffer.
The headlight bracket is then checked for fitment, and it is good...

Then teaser with the fairing. The faring have to be trimmed just a little over the hump of the LED.

The backside, is very tight, but perfect. I think I utilized all the space I could. Note the temp probe in the far of the picture...

So the two M8 holes were drilled, and then I added a cross brace ( which I might remove later, depending on how the front adds stability.

Then a steel plate was treated with release agent, and then 3 layers of 12K 12oz was laid. Then the front part of the assembly was weighed in, post heat curing.

UPS says low beam projector will be here tomorrow. No clue as to why it took over a week from PA...... must be that nasty cold every one keeps talking about. I doubt it though, as it have been a balming 75-85 here in the desert.

Haha, I know you said UPS, but we didn't get mail a day or two this month because of snow. I also seen them delivering mail on a Sunday believe it or not. I'm guessing they were trying to catch up.

Oh, it's still kind of chilly here!

Ha ha.... Yeppers... It was a poor attempt in bumping your poor fellow riders up north..... as we are clearly spoiled here down south. Heck.... My ash, and two apple trees are blooming..... How crazy is that.

Wicked It is starting to look like somming good....

So after it was cured, the edges was sanded off on the beltarousaurus..... ( disclaimer..... If you are sensitive to Carbon Porn, do not attempt to look any further, as any further picture exploration, could cause severe nausea, and defibrillations....)

On the bike...

Then came the fun part of cutting the hole for the Cyclops Mega LED.... If I can only mention one thing here..... C.A.R.E.F.U.L.
Next to the piece it is replacing....

On the bike....

Then with the faring on, before it is trimmed.....

And the money shot for Cyclops, as I credit Darryl for steering me in this direction, with his awesome product.....

I really like the way it turned out so far, as I was a bit nervous, to put a round peg in a square housing.....

You could put a piece of "carbonfiber look" vinyl sticker over the LED housing to make the look complete.

nice.

Comment from beautiful wife: "the lines look a bit hard compared to the rest of the bike, can't he make it softer by rounding the corners?"

I'm just the messenger man! ;)

He could, and might. You see, I wanted maximum space available to fit the lights. That meant square corners, at least until I knew what I had going. As I started without having the units here, I wanted to just do that. Have an ace up my sleeve though.... Tell your wife to look in towards the end. In the meantime, she will have to bear the pain....

Projector is here.

Indeed it is, but along with it came some bad news. As mentioned above, the bracket was made to maximize space for lamp installs. Well, I still had to cut out a bit for the LED, and it seems that it is just 4mm to tall..... and I would have to hack the housing to make it work.....grrrrrrrr..... It is nobody's fault but my own, as coulda, shoulda, waited until I had the units in hand. Not sure what could have been done though, as there are no room. I will light it tonight, and have a look to see how good this, at the time Halogen, projector is. I might just ditch it for a pair of clipped NGX from Cyclops, but not sold on those either, as they are foggers, and tend to have much beam spread, and not enough throw. Ohhhhh. well.... Just another challenge.
