So You Missed Riding Baja this Year?

No problem, we have the ride to substitute...and you can do it on a 1200GS.

The Southern Arizona Trail Riders is putting on their 2nd annual "There Will Be Dust" Dual Sport Ride November 23, 2014. Last year...there was more mud than dust as it rained the night before...we could only be so lucky again this year.

This is 125 miles, of which 99.9% is dirt. Traverses the beautiful area South of Tucson and North of Nogales, MX. See old mining sites and passes within spitting distance of the ranch John Wayne owned while alive. Roll charts and GPS tracks provided as well as sweep riders and rescue vehicles (come prepared to repair flats and minor breakdowns).

Access to the staging area is easy on/off I-19 in Amado, AZ. Breakfast and Lunch on the trail will be provided.

All donations go the the Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

Please click here for more details.

Sounds neat, but the Baja riding season is just getting going. Ive been out there in Jan or Feb and had great comfortable riding temps instead of baking in heat.

It will be in the high 40's in the morning up to mid 70's in the afternoon. Sounds like excellent riding conditions to me?

A great cause by all means, but..

... not Baja by any means!

Or as is the norm for S AZ Jan, Feb, cold.

Fewer regs, culture, beach riding, with the food being half the motivation to be there.

Neg, 4 degrees driving to the job this morning has me thinking south as soon as the schedule permits, not a day later!

Looks, like we will have a fair sized group. Everyone got jacked up to ride after seeing the "John Penton Story" this week.
