Well, managed to get mine home today. 100 miles in the rain with temps starting at 45, and when I pulled in the drive it was 33 deg. Needless to say, my new ride is dirty.

Perfect conditions to tell us how weatherprotection is.

Congratulations, by the way.

Pissed Thanks for rubbing it in!

Here in Cleveland the stupid groundhog saw his shadow so we still have (at least) 6 more weeks of winter!

JK, bike looks awesome, I'm just jealous!

The pics have me so envious! I noticed it looks like they made a small change on the BMW adventure cases as well. The lashing strap eyelits on the lid is mounted completely on the side of the lid now. Just sayin.

Congrats! Great looking machine. I road over to Long Beach on Friday and checked out the first one they have on the floor. Was the same color. It looked really nice. they took a deposit on it 30 mins before i got there so i couldnt sit on it, was only able to gawk....Keep us upto speed on how your liking it and setting it up. I live right up the 5 from ya. We should meet up and off road them over the mountain to Corona.... I've been riding those fire roads over the mountain lately (about 20 + miles or so)...lots of fun on the GSA!

Put your name down and buy one! I got lucky yesterday, went for a look and rode home on it. I live at the end of the Ortega Highway so its first trip was from Riverside home over the Ortega. Then my wife insisted we took it to Laguna Beach where we were going for our 21st wedding anniversary diner.

Back up the Ortega to Hells Kitchen at lunch time today to show off and it got quite a bit of attention :)

Once I get a few more miles on it I would be interested in learning the local area as I am not originally from CA and could do with some guidance.

That olive color scheme is very attractive! Nice to see some 'in the wild' pics rolling in! Congrats to the new owners.

The tank bag fits ok and does not move, the small hatch is covered by the front strap but looking at the pictures of the GSA bag on the BMW web site it looks the same. Easy to get in there as the front strap clip off easily.

New GSAW 2014 Owner in SF Bay Area

Hey,
Just thought I would introduce myself. I just picked up a 2014 GSAW. Love the bike, but have a lot of questions on topics from tires to adventure gear. I will spend time getting familiar with the search button!

Anyway, long time rider. Looking forward to more off road rides in Nor Cal to shake the rust off...

If anyone has any quick suggestions let me know!
I just did Fish Rock Road from Anderson Valley to Gualala. That was a blast!
-John

Here's what I also ride:
