Phoenix area -- detail your favorite overnight ride/camp destination

I'm in the Phoenix area and would like to begin to learn about some great destinations for single, overnight ride and camp trips that are doable on large adventure bikes. I have 2013 990 Adventure and my buddy has a GS800. Looking for mostly easy to navigate, not technical fire roads with scenic views along the way and perhaps a cool place to stop for the night. Anything that will make the trip more memorable.

I say easy because we need to do some shakedown type rides to understand what we are comfortable doing on these big bikes and also work out our methods for carrying gear, etc.

So if you have a favorite, please list it. If you have any supporting information such as routes or GPS files PM me as I'd love to receive them over email.

Thanks,

ben

Plenty of camping site around CK area and it's BBF.

Near Bartlett Lake: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=33.87...num=1&t=m&z=15

So as tons of places by Lake Pleasant, and the terrains to match.

It is kind of silly that I have to ask this of you guys. I've been riding in the desert now for like 10 years on regular dirt bikes, but we pretty much exclusively do single track, gnarly billy-goat trails. Been all over the state doing that kind of riding, but yet I'm still a noob when it comes to adventure bike rides.

Thanks for the information posted far and the PM's that I've received.
