I am trying to dodge some overseas travel with work. Leave it with me. Somebody needs to keep you in check.

A slight hiccup is that Jaybo is not available to be the Clerk of Course. If anyone knows of someone who would like to step into the role, can you please let us know.

So if anyone knows anyone who would like to be the Clerk of Course that would be very handy.
I can't say I would miss the Busselton stage at all but its disappointing to see that they won't be using the diversions from the car course.

So who is in?
It looks like the Clerk of Course issue might be resolved. I have had a chat with a candidate and it looks very promising. The discussion was made easier by the possibility of no Friday night SSS, as that means not having to take time off on the Friday to set that up.
This is great news and a huge relief for me, as I would have been a bit gutted for you all if you couldn't ride just because I was away. Next year I'll be there just to show off my Dakar 2015 finishers medal!

Some more good news hot off the press! As well as the Clerk of Course situation being resolved, the Trail & Enduro Club committee met last night and agreed to support the event again by sorting out the MWA event permit on behalf of the Quit Forest Rally organisers. This then provides the insurances necessary for the QFR-Moto to happen.

There's even more good news though! The T&E Club can offer short term (valid for 1 week) club memberships for this event so you don't need to get a full year's membership if this is the only event you're going to ride. If you then go on to ride in another event (the Yilgarn Rally would be a good one, or even grab the bull by the horns and try Safari!) the T&E Club will discount the full membership by the $20 already paid, so you won't even be out of pocket. The membership will be available at the sign-on, strictly cash payment, and a receipt will be provided at the time.

(Note that either a MA license or a one-event license will still be required in addition to the club membership - as per previous years. Also note that the deal with the 1 week club membership is a "once of" per year - as soon as you want to enter a second event in a calendar year you will need to become a full annual club member).

It's not too far away - I trust you're all getting ready?

I am planning on going down to spectate on the bike and camping if it's dry.
Alternatively l can drive my little campervan down and play service vehicle for you lot. I has a little awning, a little fridge, a little stove and loads of storage space, nothing flash but very adequate and handy at service points. PM me if you want to tag along or want a hand. Here's the van set up.

No it doesn't come with hired help. That's the beautiful Mrs. Tenerrod.
