I had planned to meander down the back roads and arrive on Saturday arvo, got a tent site booked at the caravan park. But a 5star shed floor might be hard to turn down.
If Team Adver needs the services of either, a) Tits on a bull, or b) Stale bottle of piss, then I can get down earlier on bitumen.
What time are the Moto's out on the two days?

If I can just clarify that, he dragged me to my tent because I was too pissed to walk

If you are going to arrive in the arvo there will be some rally action in town at the oval. The cars start at about 2.30 and the bikes about 2 hours later.
Motos start around 10 Sat and Sun.

So where are all the entries?? Just because I won't be there as CoC doesn't mean you all have to stay away in droves. Someone suggested to me maybe it's because the Yilgarn Rally is on only a few weeks later, but that makes the QFR the perfect shakedown run.
So, what's the reasons for low entry numbers? Speak now or the event may be in doubt for next year. (Then I'll have been CoC several times but never get to actually ride the event!)

Cost, or value for money.
For $400 we get 200 km of roads without the more interesting moto diversions that we had for the last couple of years.
For $200 you get 800km of great and varied tracks at Yilgarn.
If I could only do one of those events I know which one it would be.
A friend of mine was keen on doing the QFR. He can easily afford it, probably more so than anyone else there, but he didn't enter because it wasn't good value for money for him.

Thanks for the feedback HB. You should see what the car guys have to pay to do those same 200km. They question why the Moto guys get the same (actually faaaar more) fun for such a fraction of what it costs for them. I understand fully what you're saying though. I guess there's a HUGE difference in the running costs for the event. (Is the Yilgarn sanctioned under MWA or a black event?).

Yilgarn Rallye for 2014 is a non-competitive adventure / training recreational MWA sanctioned event.

I'm in.....defnilly this year, as a spactadore

OK...wifey has tennis club champs for both days, so no use for me to hang around in Perf.

I will be heading down early on Sat on the DR.
