Ok, I have most of the route mapped out. It seems I will be spending an extra day or two in/around Blairsville, GA. I have not decided if I'm going all the way to Charleston, SC now because I wanted to make sure I had plenty of ride time in the mountains...

If it works out, I hope to ride/eat/drink with anybody that has time along the way. I will keep this thread updated in the evenings when I can in case someone close wants to meet up. I will post up a google map route here shortly (this will not be exact, just close to my route).

I can only add that many points in the new google maps? Anyways, from there up into Missouri and back down into Arkansas, then home...

2 more days and I shall head to the East.

I suppose I will get a RR going just in case I find something cool to take a picture of.

If you make it to your Athens stop by the 26 or 27th and you like vintage road racing you can stop at the Mitty at Road Atlanta. Not too far off your path. If you like cars as well as bikes, it's an event you'd not want to miss.

I am close to Blairsville if you need a place to camp. Have tent space by the waterfall and shop space for any maintenance you need to do. I will pm my cell.

That right up my alley, but sadly I don't think I will make it in time.

Any reason you're heading south through Oklahoma and not going east into the Ozarks then down? Maybe you ride that area all the time but that's the way I'd be heading.

Have a good trip.

I ride into Arkansas pretty regularly, but I have a place at the south east part of Oklahoma I want to camp for the first night. Last time I rode down there I found a cool old campsite stuck out in the woods and thought this would be the perfect chance to use it.

Thanks!

Can't wait to show up in the ride report. Good riding with you. Wish I could have taken a couple days off to show you around.
