Route Suggestion-Corpus Christi~Austin

Hi Guys,
I am planning to ride from Savannah to Corpus Christi then on up to Austin.
Departing next week. Can anyone suggest a route from Corpus Christi to Austin? I'll be in Austin for 4 or 5 days. Never been to Texas. Well, actually was in Big Bend NP 20yrs ago. Any suggestions for day trips, etc?
Looking forward to Austin. I hear it's awesome.
Oh, riding a Triumph Tiger. (steamer), so dirt ok, technical trails not so much.
Thanks!
-Gus

I took the route to Sinton, Refugio, Goliad (stop & see the Goliad battle sight), Cuero, Gonzales (stop at the Gonzales battle sight), Luling, & Lockhart (stop & eat bar b-q).

If your wanting a day trip, you for sure wanna head west & ride the 3 sisters!

Not sure if your familiar with what happened at Goliad, it's a neat site with an eerie feel to it. Definitely worth the time to stop.

Gonzales is neat also, where the Texas revolution began.

Greetings,

Similar question.

I'm going to leave out of the Mustang island state park,

Then to Arkansas pass

Then Sinton

But I'd like to ride toward Kenedy and make my way to San Antonio from there.

Any suggestions?
I'll leave tomorrow

Thanks for reading.

I've taken the backroads between S.A. and Rockport many times. Boring! Just take the super slab. The highlight of the trip is Vans BBQ at the Oakville exit.
