No I was riding all weekend, it was sunny and 33 degrees

I have to pull the car out of storage and take some pics. The door is pretty frozen

I saw pass interference on about every play but that is no excuse. Seattle's defense was just plain mean

Ride up to Lyons

There's a shop in Lyons at the intersection of HWY 36/66/7 that has a red MGA parked out front for sale.

http://www.vintagemotorslyons.com/

The MGA isn't on their website but I saw it out there this A.M.

That makes me a bit sad to see the TF for sale on that site. That's the car SWMBO and I drove away from our wedding in. It an astounding resto-mod. Pretty much a true to original resto, except for the paint color, upholstery colors, and steering wheel restoration, which matches the slightly wild upholstery pattern. Really well-done!

It's probably the red 1958 which has been on their website on and off for a while. The car is pretty needy, especially the scary rocker panels (perforated with rust), wrong drivetrain, wrong steering wheel, wrong seats, and several other items that I can't recall. I may drive out there and check it out in person, but at the $8,500, one could very easily be into it for twice that amount with a whole bunch of work. At one point, they'd advertised a '59 "coming soon," but nothing as of today.
Given the artic temps of late and the amount of snow in our long driveway, I don't mind going at it slow. Our inmate A1one (above) has promised pics as soon as he can dig his out of storage, so I'll wait.
thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.

MGA in SF

been keepin' my eye on that one for some time. IMHO overpriced by several $$$$ which probably explains why it's been for sale for a couple of months. But I do agree that it looks very nice (except for the silly steering wheel) and the tarted-up engine compartment.
