Yes it does.
We all knew it was coming, but it doesn't make it any easier.

Campcook and I have spent a few afternoons there as her only customers. She would sit down with us and talk about whatever we wanted to talk about. I never felt like a customer, more like an invited guest at her dinner table. It brought me back to me times I spent with my grandmother in her kitchen, I can't get those moments back and it makes me sad to know our time sitting at the table with Rella may be over. But I know my life is better for the time I did get to spend with Rella, God how I'll miss that pie fridge.

I hope that anything we can do to help this sweet lady will be passed along through Pnoman and others, I know the ADV crowd will be there to support her as we always have.

I called Rella this morning and she said there was not enough business to pay the bills, so the diner is closed. (Moment of silence, please.) There is another lady who is renting the old diner trailer and may open another diner soon.

However...... Rella hinted that we might still be able to enjoy her cooking by this summer. Sorry - sworn to secrecy. Rest assured, though, if her plans come through, we will be able to still enjoy her culinary skills once again.

Stay tuned.

Glad I got to go at least once. Keep us updated!
