I did talk to Rella today and she would love to have a couple of signs.

I think in order to keep it simple to read and keep everyone happy (like THAT'S gonna happen! ), I'm going to keep it the simple 3-lines of text like in the previous screen shot. I am going to add the area code, though.

I stopped at Staples today and the banners look sturdy enough to last maybe a couple years outside. The metal grommets are extra, so two 30" X 72" banners will be about $60, give or take.

If anyone wants to contribute cash or check, PM me and I'll send you my mailing address and info. Sorry, no hi-tech PayPal financin' going on here at this house.

Thanks.

Here's what it should look like:

Printed on 15 oz outdoor-quality vinyl. Light gray background to hide road grime/dust. 30" High X 72" Wide

I talked to the young lady at Staples I've dealt with before and she was always very helpful and knowledgeable. I asked about the metal grommets at each corner and she said that option comes up right before you place the order online. Well, I got to the point where it was time to click to submit the order and there was nothing about ordering the grommets - only little adhesive stickies that probably wouldn't last past the first big storm. I have the sign saved at their site, so I can stop by the store to order and verify next time I'm in Clarksburg.

CORRECTION MADE - Oops - 15oz vinyl, not 150oz

You can get a grommet kit at the hardware store.

Received several "check's in the mail" PMs. Thanks!

You are still still welcome to contribute. Not sure how much has been sent or how much we will eventually have, but any extra will go to Rella in the form of a cash gift from the ADV guys & gals to fix up the diner.

Added a black border to make it stand out against the light brown siding on the trailer.

PRICE UPDATE:

Cost of 2 banners (30"X72") on 15-oz Outdoor Vinyl with hanger loops will be $90. Several folks have sent $$ but I am still quite a bit short. Any donations would be appreciated.

We can also order plain white t-shirts with the logo on front for about $15 each. They must be submitted with the banner order for this price - order later separately and the price is closer to $20. Let me know if you're interested. I don't know what the quality of materials would be.

Sorry I've been busy with helping my son get ready for his wedding next weekend. He starts his new job (aerospace engineering with the Navy research center) in MD in mid June so we have to pack and be ready to move when they get back from their honeymoon. I've not even had time for one ride yet this year.

I will try to order the banners by the end of May. They should be done that we can have a RTE and set up the banners sometime in June.

Thanks.

Just made my weekly trip to the PO Box - you are correct.

Any extra $$ can be given to Rella as a cash gift or I can add some things like pens/stickers/coffee cup with the logo to her order.

Thanks everyone!
