Looks like a great trip. We did a lot of that back in 2010 and this brought back memories.

I guess you got to go thru the baby-head rocks between Echo Canyon and Amargosa. We had to go up that.

Did the guy on the KLR with tall windshield have any troubles with it.

I had a tall one like that on a Mojave trip several years ago and the windshield would slap me in the face on fast g-out cross ruts.

It almost took my nose off once. I got rid of it.

I have a KLR and have the tall windshield too (though I wasn't riding it on this trip). Whenever I'm on a trip like this and I'm on my KLR I take off the tall windshield and put the little stock one back on. Both because I don't want to break the taller windshield and because I don't want to decapitate myself.

When I saw John's KLR I wondered if he ever worried about that. I actually had my KLR there for a backup bike in case anyone's bike broke down, and since it was sitting there I tried to get Clint to borrow the Corbin flat seat on it, but he was fine on his stock. I didn't suggest to John that he use my stock windshield, but I'm pretty sure he would have declined.

Somehow his windshield and neck both survived that wreck, though.

Real nice.
The first video was very well done.
I love to look at reports from this area,
but it is so far away.
Don't know if I will ever get there.
Thanks for the report.
