Fayetteville, Arkansas to Natural Dam, Arkansas

This route takes you from the Downtown Fayetteville area to Natural Dam a naturally occurring rock dam. Best seen during wet weather but beautiful at all times of the year. There is gas in Fayetteville and again once you reach Natural Dam. There is also a restaurant in the gas station. Be sure to try the cheese fries!

The route also gives you two alternates. If you want to camp, hike or swim stop in and visit or stay at Devils Den State Park. If you want a road that will challenge you, then go to Pannell Road THIS IS NOT BIG BIKE FRIENDLY YOU WILL BE CHALLENGED ON BIKES OVER 650CC'S . Both are shown as alternates in the ride tracks.

This is in Route Form. The route was compiled using CNNA 2013.3. If your version of CNNA is different be sure to retrace the route using your software or you will end up with errors on your map.

All easy to moderate gravel and tarmac. Tracks filtered to 700 points can be found HERE.

Enjoy!

Pannell Road is fun on a big bike.

Last year 2 GS 800's and 2 VStroms followed me up Pannell Road on my 1200 Adventure. It was a blast!

Not everyone has your skill set! But Pannell is a blast if you are in the mood.

Some of the links I simply click and they automatically open up BaseCamp and load with no problem. However some don't. Yours is one of those.

With those I have learned to simply download to a file (give it a name and location) and then go to BaseCamp and import the file.

As I said, minor problem.

But I do not understand the difference between case 1 and case 2. There appears no difference. When I try to download yours directly it comes across as a text. Garbled text, I might add.

Oh, yes, I'm using a Mac. Therein may be the rub.

Interesting. I think that particular file was done in Basecamp. A number of others that I have placed here were done in Mapsource. They are all saved as .gpx files so everyone can use them.
