Thanks

Had a great time, wish I could have stayed for Sunday. I'd love to try the first 11 miles on my 250. Thanks to all for your hard work putting the event together.
Adios.

V1--thanks for the video. And thank you and Dr. Philgood for your generous hospitality. The food and the variety was awesome.

Thanks again to Brian and his family for all their efforts in setting this thing up. It was a smooth 3 days.

The explore'n Fri with Ace was great. The dual-sport ride Sat was awesome with no glitches. And the Sunday 'too fast for me' fast burn single track was amazing. I have a whole new high level of respect for you Enduro racers. I couldn't imagine doing that for one, two, three hours and it would hurt me to just WATCH you guys do that for 24 hours!

And thanks to Glenn for making this a annual event!

Great Job

Big Thanks to all who worked to put together a great weekend.

My wife got to join me this time and it was great to give her a big challenge . I think she fell 4 times in the first 20 minutes right out of the gate. Once she got that past her she did very well.

Of course me losing her in the woods towards the end of the ride surprised me . Worked out better than I thought ... I thought she would be mad at me. Instead she said she really enjoyed riding by herself without me pushing her the whole time She said she finally got a chance to look around. She was a big trooper though. On one of her falls, she took the handle bar in her lower stomach. She now has a bruise covering her entire stomach . But she didn't let that stop her from having a good time as the area was too nice not to get to ride.

We will definitely have this on the schedule for next year

Hey Rich, was a blast riding with you and your wife. She was a real trooper and really seamed to enjoy the red clay! Your daughter would have been proud of her perseverance!

I believe that She was on a Yamaha and he rode a KTM.

And she was a heck of a trooper!!

Never complained and always had a smile on her face after each fall.

This was on the Saturday ride.

Different couple, then. I rode some w/ what appeared to be a husband/wife team on newish DRZ400's. She was tentative but doing a great job. They bypassed the first section and met us at the fire tower. Looked to be having a great time........

Sorry I missed you, Rick! I didn't know you were there!! Too many bikes, people, fun.......my Moto ADHD was in overload.....We'll catch up soon at BW! Milkshakes at Gator's in Baker are on me......

Now that I have seen the layout, I'll probably bring my camper next year. We can form our own little commune........

Missed Folks

We all missed folks. There were many of you who I sent tracks to that I wanted to meet and greet but it just didn't happen. Way to much BS from old racers and reliving PMMC stories... not to mention our own crew of eaters and revelers.

For example at one point we had 28 folks seated and watching SX!!!

For those who loved the event and the area here is a hint. You can of course ride the Forest Roads (about 90% of the run) at any time. You cannot ride the PMMC single tract unless at a race or invited by member, OR you can wait for a "FUN RUN" where you are allowed to ride a marked route (about the same difficulty as the DS Ride) for fun. I think there is some FEE involved.

OR you can wait for the next DS ride at PMMC.... who says we have to wait until next April?

Im pretty sure we all had a good time.

They were from Macon GA and just getting into DS. I met them at the Polar Bear. They are both very nice adrenaline junkies who like to hang glide and ride dirt bikes .... go figure. Great to visit with them.

This is another big part of these ADV fests or rides or rally. I try to meet as many folks as possible and especially those who seem intimidated by the goings on at these events. We were all n00bs at some point.

Good point Vico, and I'm sorry I missed it, looked like a lot of fun. Was trying to tie it in with a trip to Colorado but didn't work out, maybe next year.

Hi Randy, it was great to see you again. Also thanks to you, wing and "cousin Jerry" for sweeping us all day. The wife was laughing at how one of the sweeps was giving her minute updates on how long it was from her last fall. She said you guys were great fun to be around.

Cheers
