P.S. Lex and riders: I deleted an earlier post regarding the missing rider in Michoacan as I have been told that a friend went down from the States and said the injured guy was not the missing guy....sorry for the hijack, but I felt it was important to clarify misinformation.
I use a Pentax WG-1 for my pocket, those are the pictures that look kind of saturated because it only shoots in JPEG. I really didn't start using my Pentax K-5 till San Blass and the quality in my opinion is a lot better because I can shoot in Raw.

Mainland Mexico is so much more interesting than Baja, so much more to see and do. In the small towns you really get the feeling of what Mexico is really like, friendly people who all have a story to tell and are more than willing to help you out.

**I agree with a chunk of the above, but IMHO it is worth it to ride Baja though, to fully appreciate all of Mexico.

Baja has a unique feel and mystique worth discovering

Don't skip it if you've not been there

Keep the great pics coming!

I agree totally about Baja, it's gives me a feeling of solitude and wide open spaces that one has to experience.

I agree that Baja is a unique part of Mexico....I have ridden in the mainland as well and intend to spend several months there in a few years when I quit working and ride my face off there....absorbing that "older" vibe that is so enchanting.

Yes, the people are the glue that holds the experience together.

San Blas....glad to see that it's not just a tourist development.

Thanks for teasing us with your pics....as the tease sets up an invitation....and the invitation sets up a "ride, eat, sleep, repeat" regimen.

Taking pictures is a big part of riding for me, I seldom take pictures at home it's only when I ride my motorcycle do I really enjoy taking photos. I ride solo mostly so it gives me something to do. I find though when I ride I don't stop enough to take pictures so I shoot video a lot. It's just a hobby for me.....

Not too far from San Blass I stopped at this lake and was surprised to see these creeping around in the water. One slowly swam up on me.......I stepped far back.

Your going to love it, I'm just counting down the days to go back. Looks like March 29th I'll be back in Mexico.

I left San Blass for Puerto Vallarta for a one day stay there then on my way. So the next day when leaving my motorcycle broke down. A few magnets broke off the magneto which in turn damaged the stator. So getting parts in Mexico can be a waiting game, the stator came in one week and the magneto took 2 weeks. So I had a lot of time to take pictures Puerto Vallarta was not on my list of places I wanted to visit because it's a tourist town mostly. But I could of been stuck in worse places so I made the best of it and just relaxed.......and waited
