a better tire change solution. (KTM 950)

It can be a little pricey, but worth every $ to me. SOLUTION - Have WOODY'S build you a new set of wheels. I was always a little nervous of getting a flat in the middle of nowhere. Previously, I tried changing my front tire in my garage. Did it, but seemed very difficult under ideal conditions. I had read on this forum that the rear was worse.
Well, I dedcided to have WOODY's build me a new set of wheels using the stock hubs, super lace spokes, and sun rims. I also had them mill the bead to help make the tire change easier.
The payoff - this past weekend I had 2 REAR flats on the trail. I could not believe how easy it was to change the tube. Breaking the bead was simply done by putting my boot on it and stomping down.
If you want to ride with the confidence that a flat is not a big deal, then I suggest calling WOODY'S. This new setup is also MUCH stronger than the stock rim and spokes.
Cost was around $850. Worth it in the long run to me and the customer servive by Woody and Chris was fantastic.

If you think it comes off easy just using your boot, just wait until it loses air on the pavement at speed...

The great thing about the way we machine the safety bead is that we only do three inches each side of the valve stem. It allows you to break the bead for tire changes, but does not sacrifice the security that the safety bead provides at lower tire pressures.

In regards to stronger wheels, the rims alone are a much higher quality aluminum and the spokes and nipples larger and made of non-rusting stainless steel. Just thought I'd put my two cents in.

My spokes and nipples aint gone rusty and they're standard KTM ones(Euro 04) and yes,i live in rust central(UK).I ride all year round so they have stood up well.
I cant comment on the rims cos i aint bashed 'em!!

Most offroad is done with tube tires. Bend a rim to the point it will not hold a good bead (to retain air) & you get a long walk. In the desert or the mountains that can also be a dangerous long walk if you are by yourself.

Good point, I may be more likely to run over a mesquite bush than bend a rim so tubeless might be better for me.
