Maryland Off-Road Riders

Hello,

Looking for people in Maryland, southeastern PA, northern VA, Deleware, hell even Jersey, who ride off-road (not dual sport). Just picked up a KTM 250 EXC-F and I got no riding buddies around here. I know its still cold as shit but I am looking to plan for the future.

I have seen the following areas that seem to be ok

RAC up in PA (type RAC trailriding in search and you should come up with some stuff)

Wicicomo seems to have a decent amount of trail riding

If anyone is interested in planning a ride to somewhere next month let me know.

Ian

Nobody knows where "around here" is. Fill out your profile and you might have more luck in your quest.

If you wanted to find people to ride with, you should have taken the advice you received in the thread(Riders in MD question) you started back in August and got a bike you could plate.

Are you kidding me? 'Around here' means the places I was asking about in my post, ya know, Marlyand. Please read fully, and slowly.

The bike can be plated, I would rather not until I know I need to in order to ride anywhere. There are places around here to ride without a plate, although you gotta pay! Thanks for providing zero information WayneJ.

BTW I still am looking for some people who want to get together for an offroad ride

You obviously don't get it and probably never will.

If nothing else pans out for you, I'd recommend looking at some of the organizations that host rides around your area

A few that come to mind:
Motorcycle Competition Inc
Baltimore County Trail Riders Association

These folks tend to be more knarly oriented, but also more out western MD:
Dual Sporters and Adventures of Maryland and Nearby (DAMN riders) (They are also on Facebook)

Here are some more MX track oriented places within PA/VA/MD:
The Landing MX Complex
Snake Creek MX
Red Bud Track & Trail
Broome-Tioga Sports Center
Southwick
Glen Helen
Hangtown (Prairie City SVRA Park)
Lake Sugartree Motorsports Park

Don't pick on him Wayne, he's one of my favorite people. Well, that's unless he's behind me during an emergency braking exercise.

I'm planning on hitting Wicomico Motorsports Park on Saturday if noone else has anything planned. Their trail loop is pretty good. http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...72407&page=127

We've ridden a few times at Wicomico. Typical of SoMD, it's got a ton of clay in the soil and doesn't drain well. Be aware it's pretty much swamp down in areas which are normally hard pack. It has rained 2 days this week (and some more coming in on Friday), and we got lots of snow run-off.

Bring googles...Lots of googles. Maybe a tow rope too
