Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

So we went and had a poke around yesterday to check out a few of the tracks and forest area's, roads etc and found all to be in good condition some look as though they had not been used in a while. Was pretty dry and dusty as you would expect with bugger all rain and can't see it changing in the next few weeks although we did spend the last 2-2.5hrs riding home in the rain which buggered my route sheet that i had worked on all day marking corners and klms(no gps cant read it) now i cant read my notes, awesome. I covered 625klm's from door to door and we didn't anywhere near Girraween. We meet up at 7.00am and i walked back in the door at 6.30pm with a few stops here & there. Will get stuff sorted and will go riding in a couple of weeks. Maybe not the 30th but the week after. Fuel can be got from Beaudesert, Kilarney (approx 85-90klm's)with fuel from there to stanthorpe about another 100klm's or so.

A couple of pics

Troy on the WR, had a great day out for his 1st adv type ride, Kougar on the 950 carried 5ltrs for Troy and i think they used it twice and Sean-0 on the Xr

Condimine Gorge Rd

This was the deepest crossing, the boy's thought it may be funny to try and wet the dude with the camera, think they wore most of it.

Most creek crossing's were pretty dry

Few cows around the place, and plenty of roo's.

Rabbit proof fence through Maryland Forest

Decided it was time to put the dry liners on but it was to late

Hey Mick, was a good day out mate, plenty of laughs. You got that bmw yet? You should be right for this ride mate.

OK, got my stuff sorted for the next few weeks so will be doing the ride on the day that daylight savings finishes which also happens to be Waltzing Matilda Day, Google is your friend, should give people enough time to get organised. Wont be getting as far as Girraween this time to big a day.

Pretty much suitable to anyone on most bikes. Got some tar, gravel rds, sandy tracks and a few creek crossings. Need about 7 E/Start bikes to open and shut gates.

6.30am at Driver Reviver Beaudesert for a 7.00am leave. If you want coffee, Sean-0 will take preorders for Latte's with caramel and phone them through to Shirley's at Killarney. Poof
