A shoutout to Touratech Peru, in Lima.

Anyone looking for the love in Lima should check out Touratech Peru.
Ivan and his wife, Ines are working hard to build up a full service service and supply centre for moto tourers in SA.
New Heidenau, installed and balanced with new equipment, new GPS (long, sad story) professionally installed and complementary download of GPS map of Peru, all done overnight while I slept.
The place is easy to reach and very near Miraflores (the nice part of Lima). Just five minutes off Panamerica, and fluent English spoken by all staff.
These guys are great. If you need service work, they can do it.
Google them. No sign on the street but a clean and professional shop behind the gate.
Forgive the shameless plug but they made life easy.

Great to hear positives for the region and thanks for enlightening the folks here, it WILL be helpful

Peru has a pretty good syndicate of very helpful and warm people in the moto sector.

Thank you Steve for sharing; sounds like you sorted my first planned tire change in South America. Definitely putting these guys on my "to visit" list

I live in Peru up in the Andes and just stopped by Touratech to pick up a tire (as I am passing thru Lima coming back from the DAKAR SERIES 'Desafio Inca' race down in Ica, Peru) for a UK Motoquero staying with us in Huanuco on a 650GS Dakar.

Fantastic place, but all the pix are bound to throw you off if you show up at the address and all you see is a blank wall and gate. INSIDE are the pix you see. Just knock and they will let you in. I went as late as 6:30 pm and it was no problem.

IF you choose to ride the 3N/3S thru Peru (avoiding the coast and the hell that is Lima traffic), but want something from them in Lima, just give me a ring and I can have it sent up to our shop in Hunauco, Peru in 2 days and we can install it for you while you rest at our B&B!

Cheers! Toby

Although I haven't visited, I agree. Ivan Guerrero and I have exchanged more than a few very helpful messages. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him yet. On arriving in Lima 13 days ago, the mechanic he set me up with told me Ivan is at the moment in Europe. Next pass through. Recommended.

Agreed. I met Ivan and Innis 4 and a half years ago almost to the day and had the pleasure of meeting them again this week. Great shop and workshop and they deserve the praise as they have worked so hard to develop and grow the company.
Thanks for the Ceviche Ivan
