Weekday Riders In North Georgia (WRING)

Some of us with flexible schedules enjoy the benefits of riding during the week. So this is a thread to post rides.

These are not organized rides. They are simply riders getting together to avoid riding solo. The pace is whatever you want. I don't mind waiting at the corners for the last rider, but you can do whatever you think is appropriate.

If you want to participate, subscribe to this thread for updates. Even better, suggest your own time and place for a ride. Feel free to post up a weekend ride if you like, or even a street ride.

Let's ride.

Richard

Different people have expressed preferences for different days. So how do we handle that? I'd really like this group to be as "open source" as possible, meaning anyone can contribute anything they want.

My preference would be to wait until a day or two before a ride to make a commitment, primarily because of weather. I'm not usually scared off by a 30% chance of showers, but if a major front is coming in and the chance of rain is close to 100%, I'll find something else to do. Now here is where the "open source" comes in. If anyone wants to commit to rides way in advance, regardless of weather, feel free to do so.

The 6/7 is nearly two weeks away. I'm still flexible, and will figure out which day works best for me closer to that time. There are a lot of good guys who know their way around the mountains, and maybe some of them will want to go on the other day. Great.

In the meanwhile, what day does anyone want to ride this weekend, or maybe Monday?

I'm thinking meet at the Dahlonega Walmart at 10:30. I have a pretty good route that cuts through the forest then slides up the eastern edge of Cohutta followed by twisty local roads back to the forest and Dahlonega. It's a full day. Open to other ideas.

Welcome to Mgsgp and Hardwaregrrl.
