The 450R has a 606 on the front and will soon have one on the rear. They have always been a great all around tire and do great in the sand.

After balking, injuries, and other plans mucking my ability to do this ride, I am IN if there is room for another nOOb.

Can't wait for a better look at this part of the state!

back to shopping again

shop sent me close up pictures of the bike.
mechanically it's perfect, the paint and seat and bulk of it cosmetically is very good.....but - it's got rust and oxidation all over.

I'd be replacing fasteners, buffing wheels/hubs/spokes....forever.
As the 3rd bike in the garage it will be fighting for funds with the other two - and I can see me spending money on it for quite a few things - not to mention the expense of flying to NC and riding it back (which I seldom take into account, and wouldn't for the right deal).

I called an cancelled the deal this morning, he was fine with it - he has others waiting in line to buy it.

Oh yeah baby! I was waiting to see you in person before getting into specifics... but I love it!!!! I'm fixing little issues here and there as I find time and $ and learning a lot about these old battle cruisers.
Thanks!

That looks like Meunster/Red River.

You'd only have to do about 30,000 laps of that place to cover what we are going to cover

Glad you are coming Ian!

In, In and In

This is the best stroke of luck piece of timing I've had in years. Count me in. I will be finishing up a Toronto-San Fran-Toronto run right then and this fits my itnerary perfectly, as I need to be back here by June 4. So yeah, count me in on my F800GS, probably running the TKC80/K60 combo... though I might just have worn 'em out by then and could put on a nice set of aggro knobs, or at least TKC80s on both, which would surely get me back to T'rana from Colo. Anyway this looks the like dream I've waited my whole life for, so did I mention you can count me in?

Go over to Motoaxe's place and tell him to get his shit and gear and come on down with you. (actually, he can just fly down as he's got a bike parked here).

It is Red River! It's an awesome place to ride; what it lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality.
