Synchromate carb balancer

I have been waiting since July to see if Grok was going to start manufacturing the "Harmonizer" again. It has not happened, so when I found this deal

http://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalog...clickkey=16307

on the Tecmate Synchromate TS-101, I ordered one.

If the price is honored, I should have it around Nov 28-30. I will post up once I see what happens and how it works.

Just got my Carbmate and worked on my GSA. Super easy. Not sure how the Harmonizer could be easier, but, then again, I've never played with one.

Carbmate does everything my simple mind requires. Not sure i would use the additional features of the Synchromate. YMMV.

I've used a Vacuummate and was very impressed. It is silly expensive for a home shop, but I borrowed it from a local boat mechanic.

The Synchromate and Carbmate are slightly simpler versions and I am sure everyone will be very happy with them.

I also don't see how the Harmonizer could be any better...

The gauge and electronic ones can get out of calibration. The mercury type don't unless you lose some mercury or what the new ones use instead.

Do the Synchromate and Carbmate both show rpm's as well?

The Synchromate and Carbmate DO NOT allow you to look at all of your vacuum readings at the same time WHILE you're adjusting , the Motion Pro Syncmate does.

He apparently wants to know what the ACTUAL vacuum is in a unit of measure. Like in-Hg or something.

I'm not sure why that is important, but to some it might be.

Follow the link to Aircraft Spruce Canada in the first post. $152.95 Canadian. Prices seem to vary from $288 down to $153

RPM is useful when the bike has adjustable idle.
