You are going Rob? Sounds awesome! I used to go to Canada every couple of years but still wanna do the Maritimes.

I've been to West Virginia a bunch of times. Mostly 3 day weekends. Overtime rained an awful lot. But it was still the best riding ever!!!!

i took Friday the 25th off and have cobbled together a route from CT to the Lake of Disney Mermaids

Assuming someones may want to synchronize our headlight beams, how's this look?

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/ATM,...45!2m1!1b1!3e0

35 to Bear Mtn
Seven Lakes Dr
106 to 17a
Rt1 to Port Jervis
97 to Narrowsburg then down to the Lake

this will take the lower part of 97 out of a potential Saturday loop, which makes sense, perhaps

I'm also off on Friday. Rob, let me know which way you're going, maybe we can meet before the ATM start?
I think btao is also taking Friday off, not sure

I live 40 miles west (Tunkhannock) if you have any stragglers with you that need a place to stay.
I may back track your route Friday, see if I can catch you on 97 somewhere.
Might even blow off work Saturday, ride with you a bit. You guys from CuT are good for a chuckle. I know the roads fairly well in that area.

we should be easy to find - ADV bikes mixed with sport plastic, like cats playing with dogs - but hard to catch

Are you not indirectly responsible for the Lower Left CT TOR?

That would be my son in law, Brendon1. He saw how the NE PA Dirty TOR, that I started, was flying, Started the Lower Left. I try to get up to ride with him whenever I can.
I will try to catch up with you all next weekend. Post up you ETD's & ETA's.

Yep, I'm off Friday too. I'm definitely game to meet in Southbury as I'm in Woodbury. Good for whatever time.

Still going to be chilly in the morning, but may see 70 by days end in PA. Slight chance of rain later in the day, with all of that likely to change of course. This isn't Back to the Future... yet.

AKA, can you elaborate on what provisions for sleeping are there: blankets, sheets, pillows, crickets?

What kind of basics should we bring from home and what should we just get when we get there: food, beer, more food, beer, etc.?

thanks

There are no supplied linens, pillow cases or towels. One room has a bunk bed. The other rooms have a bed of unknown size. I'm personally planning to just take some floor space in the living room or downstairs.

I think we should just plan to fend for ourselves food wise. If you want to bring something that can be shared that's great too. Personally, I may make up some kind of marinated red meat on a stick, or in slab form. I hope there is a breakfast place we can go to. I'd rather go out for breakfast than cook it.

House has one bedroom with twin bunk beds & three bedrooms with queen's there are pillows & blankets but no sheets or pillow cases.
Also 3 couches

All the basics are there pots pans plates exc as well as a coffee maker. internet wifi big screen in the living room with a roku box for pandora/netflix exc)
Basement has a shuffle board table

As for going out right outside the gate on the right is the Backdraft bar. Pretty good food & a decent price for dinner. (my guess is that Saturday night will have a band) For breakfast 1/4 mile down the road next to the remax is a little place called the coffee cup cafe or you can go 5 miles down the road into Hamlin for more places (snapshots diner has an all you can eat buffet on the weekends for $8.00) Also in Hamlin is Bennoco's Beef & brew great wings (Smells like smoke) but if you want the local crowd that's the place.
