Ok... will try it out. Maybe today.
Will post reviews on it too.

Ok... I give the hamburger 9 maybe 9-1/2 bites out of a scale of 10.
Jucy, good burger... only thing wrong with the burger was that the bloody pickles were sliced too thick.
Leave the pickles out... it might be 10 of 10. Otherwise, best burger in Eureka for sure.

French fries... 7 bites out of 10. Little too greasy, maybe a little overcooked.
Onion Rings... 8 bites out of 10. Great breading, good frying, needs a little more onion though.

Otherwise. Surfside... Great Burger Place.

Other burger shacks in the NW Cal area.

Snack Shak in Orick. It has changed hands, don't know how it is now. Used to be very, very good.
Toni's north of Arcata. Good burgers, old fashioned way.
The bar in Hyampom. Great if they're cooking 'em, otherwise they might have pizza (also good).
No Name Burger Bar in Ferndale. Good burgers.
Yellow Rose in Mattole. Expensive, but good burgers.
Debbie's down in Redway. Great burgers. Also other good food.
Black Butte Store of Covelo... at the start of FH7. Awesome, open only in summer.
Etna Brew Pub... real nice in summer.
Dave's Place in Ft. Jones. Burgers and other mexican stuff.
Early Bird in Willow Creek. Roadside place... pretty good burgers and fries.
Mad River Burger... in Mad River! Good burgers, but sometimes it can be kinda slow!

No mention of the Burger Barn in Madd River? A Hwy 36 must stop!

That trailer is hardly a barn. Nonetheless, it does rate higher in ombiance than food quality.

Yup! Forgot it (I added it).
Last times I've been there... food was pretty darn slow.
Nice summer day it makes a good stop on 36 tho...

Tony's burgers great place to stop after the bars close.

I lived on Samoa Blvd, 389 H street, in the 80's and I think it was Tony's number 1 that was right up the street from our house.

Opened at 3 AM for the Lumber Mill workers/truck drivers

Double cheese burger and fried onions, perfect at 3AM.

V&N Burger Bar

The V& N Burger
Bar in Arcata is hard to beat. It's located on Samoa Blvd.

When I worked in Eureka a few years ago, if I wasn't having a tinga burrito at Rita's taqueria the other place you could find me was at the Surfside Burger Shack. Their burgers were great and they always had a stack of moto magazines. It also helped that there was a cute girl working there that always remembered my name!

>"The V& N Burger"

Used to eat there when working at the mills... long ago.
Seems like they just became an ordinary er... 'regular burger'.

Will have to go back and re-sample, see if they are better.
(for ADV that is... somebody's gotta do it)

We always called tony's #2. That place is rough on the guts.

Are they ever open? Used to live down by the marsh and never saw them open.
