an oh, if you intend to do the AbuDhabi Desert Challenge next April, you're always welcome at my place.
Because it was being re-made to fit with the twin silencers. It is now back on. AbuDhabi one day......not yet though :-)
Thanks.

All kidding aside, have a super ride, or rides. If you see me I'll be the guy on a dirty sun bleached green KLR drooling.
Yes, the bikes name is Basil.....named after my late Grandfather. I kinda like it :-) Basil bike.

Quick update....

So, I'm on the road, Turkey actually and am riding with fellow inmate LukasM. We met up in Austria and both headed to the Hellas Rally before hot footing towards Asia.

The last few months with planning, preparation, bike build etc etc have been manic with no time for any updates. I'd go as far to say that it was crazier than preparing for the Dakar! Leaving work, renting the house out and moving out, sorting all the visa's etc, selling my possessions and building the bike from scratch, you get the picture.

I've been posting stuff on Facebook and Twitter regularly but realise there's a lot of folks on here not connected on the social network side of things after receiving a few emails from inmates. So I will plan to post all my Facebook updates on here also just to keep things moving. Lukas will also be doing the same and posting some of his pictures in here. This should keep the thread alive on a regular basis just like social media.

I have started to film a short series of video's from the decision to take this trip, through the bikes build (time-lapse) and then the trip itself which will be edited and loaded onto Youtube in the very near future. I will continue to do this on route however, the video's will obviously delay the posts due to editing time etc.

I am keeping a daily journal too, what I will do with this will remain to be seen but I hope to put something together at the end of this massive adventure.

That's all for now. Standby for more......

Day of departure....
