Thanks for the offer, plan to be there early next year. Hey, do you know Mark from NTB Racing? He used to have a dealer in the UK but then emigrated to New Zealand (Wellington I think). Good friend of mine, you should look him up.

Let's touch base when I get there.

Nope haven't meet him, He is further north (about 500k).

I'll keep an eye on your progress

Day of Maintenance.....

Took the day off today to do much needed maintenance, the order of the day went soothing like this:
1) Jet wash bike
2) Strip fairing tanks and luggage off bikes, jet wash again
3) Shopping for oils, cash, and general stuff around town
4) Change oil and filters
5) Check valve clearances and adjust appropriately
6) Replace carburettor boot (signs of cracking on last inspection)
7) Grease suspension linkage
8) Replace 21" tube I had to use in rear with a good rear tube
9) Replace front sprocket and chain
10) Clean all 6 air filters, re-oil and bag ready for use
11) Fix rattle from nav tower (was MD road book)
12) Replace front brake calliper slider rubbers
13) Go pay and thank local moto guys who helped me find things
14) Fit new Leatherman to bike (lost my old one - ack!)
14) Eat and drink
15) Re-assemble bike
16) Update the world
17) Sleep......long day!

Totally awesome.

It would be interesting to get a $ per day total average for the diferent regions.

Dont be suprised (or put off) at Australian costs !!

I wouldnt be suprised if the Advriders here in Perth put on a barby for you when you get here. I would be there for sure.

I have it for every region, a complete app with all my spends and categories, averages etc. You'll have to wait for the book after the fact for that though........as with all the best photo's :-)

I will use traditional armour and MX gear for racing, since I have to get tyres shipped to the races, I will ship my race helmet, boots, protection and clothing to the races also.

For travelling:
- Klim Overland jacket and pant - grey
- Arai Tour-X4
- Sidi Adventure Boot

- Klim Adventure Glove

For Racing:
- Klim Mohave in-the-boot pants and jersey
- Suomi MR Jump Helmet
- Ariette Goggles
- Alpinestar Tech 10 Boots
- Asterisk Cell Knee Braces
- Leatte Carbon Pro neck brace
- Klim Dakar Glove
Do you carry the second helmet and boots on the bike with you?? That seems like it would take up a bit of space, no? Perhaps you ship it from one race to the next?

Carry on!!

Pyn,

If you need a hand in SA give me a bell. Accommodation, workshop and yabbies. PBee will sort you out as well.

When in Victoria Mudguts will bend over backwards. Literally.
