Highway dirt bikes handguards for F560GS

Anybody have them setup on a 2009 F650GS? I am having tough time getting them setup due to the all the cables that are in the way.
I played with handle bar positioning as well as clutch & hand brake but there isn't whole lot of room to play with.

Shooby, thank you sharing pics. Could you please share a close up of the handlebar clamps that allow the handguard to be attached with the handlebar.
Is your handguard attached to the top clamp or to the handlebar? I don't have the top clamp & trying to attach the handguard to handlebars.

Here's a dedicated HDB thread to peruse. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=544037

These are designed with the top clamp as an integrated part to the system so not sure if a "no top clamp" solution is available without creating your own.

Is this the view your looking for?

Yes, that is the view & is very helpful. I don't have the top clamp at the same time Derek at HDB didn't specifically mention that these will work with top clamp only.Derek has been of great help while I fiddle around !

I just installed hdb handguards on my 800 yesterday. I also have the 2" rox risers. I played around with clutch cable position for a while but to no avail, it was too tight. I loosened off the clutch lever perch, assembly whatever, and moved it slightly inboard and down. Voila. C'est perfection. No dramas. Hope this helps.

Was able to fit the L side handguard however ran into another issue & that is handguard & windshield come into contact with each other while turning handle. Don't know if I can work around that one without having to play around with windshield

Same problem I have. I installed a Mirage 2 the same day as the HDB guards. I can turn to full lock to the right, when I turn to the left the guard hits the Mirage, looking down at the lock there is only a few mm's to room so it's almost locked out. I guess that's the nature of the beast. I'm fine with it.

Cool2

I had the factory guards & they worked OK and did not interfere with the cables. They didn't provide the wind protection I wanted. I installed BarkBusters. Great protection, but had to move the cables a bit.
