You have the money to buy a KTM 1190 ? That would be the only reason I can think of.

It will cost you a fortune in fuel, as you will always be wanting to run the tank dry to keep from mixing new gas with old gas. :)

Seriously, the Tiger is a blast to ride, and one of the most fun bikes i have owned (I currently own three bikes, and have owned 35 in the last 30 years). You need to plan on some mods. Here is the list:

1. new skid plate, as the stock one is plastic
2. Triumph engine guards. They are the best IMHO
3. 2" rox risers. Moves the bars up and back
4. The pencil pegs are very uncomfortable. We settled on the Pro Moto Billet adventure pegs after trying others.
5. Tires...if you plan on running in dirt.
6. Might want new springs. Makes big improvements in suspension for just a couple of hundred dollars, and you can install yourself.

Get a girl that loves to ride like my two sons and I have, and you are in heaven...

I've had mine a year, put it up for sale once or twice, and backed out every time. Best all around bike I've ever had. It will be staying for a while.

Ridden a friends for an afternoon. I liked everything except for the fact that the engine mounts to the frame exactly where the inside of my knees are, which gets flaming hot. If I moved my knees in towards the frame, it burned knees. Deal breaker for me.

Suspension. If you want to ride it hard it 's lacking, but fixable. Ohlins has full kit, just budget it. Everything else is great for average size guy.
