Was trolling and after reading your guys input I just bought an XC yesterday. Get it on Tuesday since they had to get the color from another store. Thanks all.

I started the the thread because I knew their were some niggles, with some bikes, but it seemed that Triumph aced it with the 800cc bikes.

This is a huge forum and the thread attracted very little negativity, so that just confirmed my decision.

I think/hope/feel that I will really enjoy the 800

Lol!

Rode my XC today. About 200 miles. Have just over 16,000 miles. This bike seems to be a perfect size to "do it all."

The 1200 TEX? Too heavy and cumbersome.
Super Ten? Ditto
Honda? They got nuthin'.
Suzuki? Are you kidding me?
Kaw? Nope!
Victory? LOL!
Harley DOES have a model that has a plow attachment, so they get points there!

Sometimes I crack myself up!

If you plan on riding offroad more than 20-30 percent of the time, look elsewhere. That's the only thing I would suggest. The motor is butter.

955

Just bought an 05 955. Shinko 705s on there now. I hate the way it turns in too quickly for that heavy of a bike. Thinking about Anakee 3s. Any opinions. Will be used for pavement mostly. I have 2 other bikes for the dirty stuff. Suspension seems pretty good or better than I expexted. Time will tell.
