how is that inept? a parking gate came down on my head as i was allowed to pass under it. was i supposed to see it from under my helmet?

inept: having or showing no skill; clumsy.

i was riding 3mph

its as if sayin' a bird shitting on my helmet at a stop light would make me inept. makes no sense to my mind

shit happens

but yeah especially when you're a nub

I think it was just surprisingly educational to share your gate-meets-helmet mishap. We ain't much for ed u cashun 'round hee-ah; it is rare, and so, not to be trusted

Hey, at least you had a helmet on, right? Could have been worse. I'll admit to getting beaned with the parking lot gate once, too, except I didn't even get free parking.

Turns out motorcycles aren't too great at tripping the magnetic switches under the pavement for those gates.

When you go out for a ride, get the bike off the truck, get geared up, spend 15 minutes trying to kick over the bike. Get told by another group in the area that "Yeah, the temperature drop has been messing with the 2 strokes all day, you might have to re-jet". Then realize that you left the wash plug in the exhaust, remove it, then it fires on the first kick.

I was riding down the street earlier on my extended swingarm turbo hayabusa when I came up on something odd... I had to turn the bike, like at an intersection, but it wasn't a 90 degree turn like at all the intersections, so I couldn't put my feet down and walk the bike forward. It was weird, like some kind of "Curved Road." I had no idea what to do and ran off the road so fast that it blew my Tap Out hat strait off my head.
