Got mine today (N. Georgia). Would be happy to have it fixed, seeing that it's about 3 years too late for me.

I'll get the bike to the dealer as soon as he gets the parts and I have Anton rebuild the final drive (you know, the one with "no defects") who's pinion bearing just went belly up.:)

Got mine.
Not a surprise, most of us know to keep an eye on the flange. I was actually contemplating getting one of those reinforcement rings.
I worry more about the FD.....

Fuel pump recall!

Campaign # 13V-617

All R and K bikes as well as the S1000RR from 2005-2012. The fuel pump flange is bad apparently.

Note, though, at the present time they do not have the parts, they will notify you by first class mail when the parts are available. If leaks are present or cracks extend to the bottom of the flange, the pump will be replaced otherwise they put a reinforcing ring on it.

Why would I read a thread with such a generic title?

Perhaps because there aren't any other BMW recalls expect for the fuel pump flange repairs/replacement....Or...just to learn something?

It's possible that's it's more noise from the water cooled crew and all their worries. In fact, that's what I thought it was.

You see, everybody knows what this thread is about when they read the title. I learned a lot when I worked for the dealers. The forums are full of shit and oil threads.

What worries? Am I supposed to be worried about something? Next thing you'll tell me is that my hexhead worry beads aren't applicable to the wethead. Oh noes

Just had my recall here in Canada, rang in and the service manager told me they have lots of parts in stock, to give him a couple of days notice, and they need the bike for a couple of hours.....

Yes, in the real world, what worries. On the internet, every potential you can think of.

Got my notice over a week ago, still need to make an appointment. When they do this, do they need to remove that tank? I want to have some lights added and thought I could save a buck or two by getting it done at the same time if they have to remove the tank anyways.

Letter in the mail yesterday. Now both of my BMW's have recalls. My 1600 has an ignition issue. Must have bought them from GM.
