990 ADV "S" Rear Brake line...

The rear brake line for the ADV "S" is backordered until around April 10th.
Does anyone have the dimensions of the "S" rear brake line and a diagram for routing the line?

Is the rear different?

Partsnumber different from non-S?

Used a stock 2004 non-S with the 320 suspension without problem.

The stock one have a really strange fitting with a bent tube like last 10 cm but might be possible to get it to work with a longer hose and just a normal bent banjo at the end?

Sorry but can't provide pictures since I won't visit my bike today.

The non "S" version has ABS and uses completely different lines.

2007 Adventure Standard version with ABS / Rear brake line is part #60142012000
2007 Adventure "S" version without ABS / Rear brake line is part #60013072000

Sounds like that would work. Not sure though as It's a different part number 60142013200

How about a 950 brake line? both non-s and s will fit.

Sometimes the brake line will leave the master make a loop and then head back to the caliper. Didn't know how KTM ran it back on these big bikes.

I've just compromised and used the stock rear line that ran to the ABS pump until my new line comes in.
It looks pretty sketchy but it'll do for a couple weeks if I can keep it off the header and out of the rear tire.

I think I'm going to go with the 2007 S lines

Well, I just spoke with Galfer, and they only showed one line for one bike in the '07/'08 time period, and I don't know if that bike exists.

They have a front brake line for the "Non-ABS 2008 990 Adventure". It may be correct, as it is a direct line from the master cylinder to the calipers, but he doesn't have length and bend specs available so I can't check to be sure.

I think I'll be doing one of two things, either I'll measure the length and bends of the lines I need and order custom from them, or I'll order 2007 990S lines, below.
front: p/n 60113012000
rear: p/n 60013072000

Regardless, my 990 will be down for the duration while I wait for parts. No real loss, as I can't ride it much now anyways.

I have before gone to my local hydraulic store, which being a corporate Parker store is extraordinarily well stocked, and picked out the proper -3AN fittings and an estimated length of braided brake line. Took it to the bike and cut to length and marked with a sharpie where I wanted the fittings crimped. You have to mark the exact spot and rotational angle as the lines dont flex around well. Took it back to the Parker store and they crimped it. Was cheap too.

I have also seen guys buy compression fitting style lines from places like Summit or Jegs and simply plumb their own without the need for a hydraulic crimper.

Good luck.
