Why do I get the feeling that I will be years living that down?

I'm looking forward to this ride. I haven't spent much time north of the city.
I'm not 100% in, but I am 99% in.

99%, than you only have to ride the first 102.86 miles.

Anybody manage to convert the map to a gpx track yet? I ran the KML file through ITN converter and only got half-a-route back.

I have the complete GPX file. If you PM me your email address I'll send it to you.

OR, go to the google maps route, and click on the "KML" button to save it as a KML file. Then use http://kml2gpx.com/ to convert the KML to a GPX file that you can load into your GPS or phone.

I had similar 'half route' problems when I first started converting files. Some crappier converters see waypoints as a 'stop' so they stop converting the track when they hit the first marked waypoint. The website I linked you above does not have that problem.

Sunday's weather is looking good!!!

Just a tip. Don't take the boring east west highway. Take Jarrettsville pike or road. Its nice and twisty and a lot more fun. Plus, less cops. Cops are always lurking on the easy west highway.
Check it out. I think you'll like it better. Have fun on your ride and hope you guys will report.

BUMP... the ride is this coming Sunday, April 28.

The route:
https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...5ac6eb61&msa=0

We'll meet at the park and ride on Mt Carmel Road, near 83, at 10:00 AM this Sunday, April 27. We'll ride for ~3 hrs, then have lunch at Conawingo Pizza around 1:00 PM, and make our way back to the park and ride where we started.

The weather is looking good!!

It depends on how you look at it:

By MILEAGE, its probably 75% paved and 25% dirt.

By TIME, its more like 60% paved and 40% dirt.

There's at least one Road Glide and one SV650 coming.
