Watch out for this guy! He will make you eat pie and BBQ!!! And maybe he will let you ride my old KLX!

Great to follow your ADV.. Let us know if you make it to Kansas City!

He knows me so well.

And making it to Kansas City would be a positive thing.

Fine folk and fine eating down there, they will definitely look after you.

Just missed you!

Sorry I missed you at the Dragon's Tail and when you needed a place to hang your helmet in Shreveport.
We just missed each other. If I hadn't had lapse of judgement in the mountains of North Carolina and totaled my bike, I would have been there (Shreveport) for you!
(I bought the bike back from the insurance company, fixed it and rode it home!)

Great trip you're having. Keep the pics and commentary coming!

Hi Weronika!

I have a question for you, since we ride almost the same bike, what kind of maintenance do you do (plan to do) on the bike? Especially yours is new, did you do the 600 miles service? I just completed my first 4,000 miles on this trip, and I start to think about it :)

WooHoo !
Covering ground, you are !
Have you heard of the Desert Bar in Parker ,Az.?

I went out to check it even though I knew they were closed, in April. They were only open on the weekends then.
It is located off 95 ,six miles north of Parker ,heading toward Lake Havasu City. When you get to the turn off ride six more mile back the gravel/dirt road to the bar.
If you want to see some big schulpture in the desert ,head to Borego Springs,Ca.

Big, like this 1 mile long sea serpent.

Keep up with the wonderful ride !

On a trip like this oil in a modern motor should be NO problem traveling even 10 K miles. Synthetics 15K .

As a general rule we change our oil way too much, and the oil and car companies have given up on telling us to go 15 K between changes, as we never listen anyway.

Great RR and you have excellent photographic skills - really creative compositions!

I see someone might've totaled their bike trying to provide tools, tires, friends, dinner, .... The competition is fierce. What's your take Weronica?

Glad to see u're having a great time riding across this great country. Thanks for those awesome pictures. Please keep them coming.

In Northern California, the local riding haunts around the Bay Area are.. "Alice's Restaurant" off Hwy 35, goes down to Hwy 9, takes you down to Santa Cruz. You might decide to catch Hwy 1 from there and head south to Monterrey, Carmel. 1) Then either continue South to Hwy 1, catch Nacimento-Fergusson Rd -or- 2) From Carmel, take the G15 to Hwy101 and get to Paso Robles and further south..
