I can't see a gauge like yours on the danmoto site, but there is some other worthy contenders. The acewell stuff looks a bit spendy, it'd cost the same as what I paid for the bike edit: I just found some in Aus, seems like a fair price. I'll file it away
I was thinking about the stock gauges on the way home in the cold and dark and decided if I kept them I wouldn't need a screen, they give me something to hide behind.

ztaj screwed with this post 06-15-2014 at 03:06 AM Reason: further gooooogling....

Anyone else notice that Jay lenos couldn't fit his chin inside his helmet.

I don't like K bikes
I don't like trellis frames
I don't like chrome
I don't like bikes that are immaculately presented

Why did I just absolutely love what I watched there?

That cafe was bloody excellent. Loved the colour. Loved the chrome detail on the valve cover - really gave the engine a 3D appearance. frame brace reaslly suited it The pipes were grouse & the sound was fantastic when he opened it up.

I also loved her bike (OK I'm a big R1200 custom fan) Loved the colour & the old headlite brackets. Not keen on the mags & the forks looked a little too 650GSish but apart from that very cool.

I may have to stop being so prejudgemental...
Thanks for sharing

With you on that one. I think with a K you need to roll with the slightly industrial look. You'd go a long way on yours just tidying up the small stuff & keeping the same basic lines.

Cheers

Yip

I finally got round to pulling off the front end and having a crack at the forks.

Sorry about the crap pic but there's no lights in the lockup...
I emptied the old oil/soup/gunk out of the forks and gave them abath in the tub and a triple rinse with kero. They don't look to bad on the whole, little bit of rust between the upper and lower clamps but thats o.k.
All parts cleaned and awaiting re assembly

While it's appart I thought I'd take the opportunity to polish up the triple clamps and get a couple of helicoils put into the top clamp to hold the new speedo and regrease the bearings, they were a bit stiff
Aaaaand.... a big thanks to my local auto parts store for coming through with some "loom tape" to tidy up some of the wiring and it was cheeap.
