Currently running in 47th, the guy is big like a horse mind you, I cannot imagine that he would have problems picking the bike up . He is new to the sport, so may be some navi mistakes, but today is was not so technical. Some fast sections and some rocky ones, but everything was ok for most of them.

From our friends, Guillaume had a mechanical, but he fixed it >

I have yet to find him and ask him if he welded the sprocket onto the shaft, otherwise a gearbox rebuild will be in order. Guillaume is running malle moto (currently running 56th, 5hr30min behind the leader), sleeping outside every night and fixing the bike by himself . Preparing for Dakar I think.

General Standings official with penalties are as follows:

VAN PELT JUNIOR Robert
COSENTINO Andrea +7.19
CIOTTI Filipp0 +12.17
GANDINI Marco +13.40
CALESINI Sandro +15.02
BIANCHI-PRATA Pedro +26.54
PEDEMONTE Angelo +44.30
BARBIERI Roberto +46.57
PAVEY Simon +48.25
WIJNHOVEN David +51.44

And that completes the first 10 positions.
The rest can be found here:

Tomorrow is a long stage, one SS so we expect the fast guys will arrive in 5 hours in the mountain bivvy where the party will take place, let's see how this turns out, so far we had two marriages in the hotel so plenty of parties so far.

Wireless is very difficult to upload photos form here, obviously all the people suck the hell out of the bandwitdh, so I will upload photos later today, once the wireless usage goes down a bit.

Beautiful night at the bivvy. One of the most quiet nights here, people loading their roadbooks, checking and fixing bikes, very nice atmoshere indeed. Nice we had a six pack with us

Yesterday was hectic as far as the weather is concerned, so this Rally so far had it all, sun, hot, rain, cold. Finlands are missing the snow, but we may get there in the later stages...

Yesterdays stage was tough, with four competitors crashing in the first liaison, before the SS. Prata was the first to crash and he hit his shoulder a little bit, bikes and other bikers were fine.

No other dramas as far as this is concerned, some people slept in the mountain and some got back to the hotel. It was cold, and it rained not only cats and dogs but the whole animal kingdom yesterday. Kudos to the people who made it there, it must have been tough. Van Pelt lost time due to navi mistakes, he is fast and if he gets both worlds together he will be flying.

Todays stage was a 48 km stage, small one, so no dramas there, the hotel bivvy is like a mud swimming pool so we get to do mud spa there

Off to some photos cause I have to go down to grab a bite...

Classification after yesterday's stage

http://www.serresrally.com/images/im...l/Overall5.pdf

Van Pelt Junior is really flying. Ciotti the same, he is the rider to follow in the near future I think.
Prata lost three magnets from the discbake yesterday and had to stop equal times to fix it, finishing third in yesterdays long stage.

Today there are two special stages, almost 100km each, so if navigation is not tricky, I expect not a lot of drama in the GS.

Guillaume's fix, broke 70km after the start of yesterday's stage and he ordered a new bike That's the spirit. Then his mechanic told him that it is only the weld that broke and not the gearbox, so he is back in the stage....
