That'll teach him.
Looks like he pissed off the tree huggers too.

BTW, although we have had our share of mishaps, that pic was not from our trip. Some Europeans who can't avoid trees me thinks. Our ride is more about seeing what you can push your body and bike on. The 1000 yd stare is commonplace, but when you are sitting around the fire having a beer, it is suddenly all good! Until you move a little, which brings some screams and moans, but trust me, it is all good!

So does anyone have any tracks from around the SW CO area? I think I found some for Nate Creek/Lou Creek/Alpine trail, but want to see about Wager Gulch/Lost Creek/Pole Creek, Calico by Rico, and anything on the Uncompahgre off Divide Road.
Snow is melting quickly, so I can start exploring soon and logging my own, even if it is just finding the easy connectors for the good stuff!

What are the dates? I'd like to see to cross check with my schedule.

And snow mesa/miners creek?

where is snow mesa/miners creek? Not familiar with that one. I have a loose plan currently but open to ideas that make sense. The main goal is lots of good ST, some passes, and only slab when necessary for gas and easy connections.

Combined they represent one of the seven metaphysical summits in the totality of human existence.

Can you say 12,000 foot ASL, WFO single track?

Enjoy it, super pissed I'm missing this one.

Just over the top of Spring Creek Pass towards Creede, turn left onto the CDT and be nice to the hikers . Up through the rocks and gnar to the top of the mesa, across and drop down into Miner's Creek. 10 miles of side hill and creek crossing nirvana later come out just west of Creede.

I will be around the area but unavailable to join. Some year I'll be there and show you all how it's done. Maybe I can help preride sometime. I'm off every other weekend.

And isn't there some rougher backway two track to connect lake city to snow Mesa? Seem to recall something west of slumgullion.

But then how to work back toward Stoney pass? I don't want to miss lost creek/pole creek...those are some must dos!
Hopefully I will have a better map option shortly and experience some clarity! I ain't real edjumacated in this technology stuff yet, but learning. Like I stated in the initial post, if you choose to follow me, it really says something about you!

How many miles to a tank do you guys get? Sounds like quite a bit of ground to cover on a s/l dirtbike..

My bike has a 3.2 gallon tank. I hit reserve around 130 miles. I would plan on 100 mile range. Hopefully the route will work out with well timed gas stops. If not I will stash some if necessary and we can have some at camp.
