Still owe you a beer kiwibul at some stage so maybe after the next ride (which we'll have to do soon before it gets to warm haha)

Yea, I'll be there, most likely on the new bike.

I also sent Bucky a text just in case he missed it here.
Taz is on his way north, despite missing the early ferry and more snow in the North Island.

Well, when shrubs on the side of the road start looking like Wombles that are running out in front of you know it's time to pull over and put another layer on haha.

Nah it's not bad. Went SH4 and leading up to some place that started with R was the only particularly nippy bit with my wet hands going completely numb. Ran of out gas so it was worth having that damn jerry can rubbing against my back.

Oh the up to head sized boulders on the road were a bit different from the Kaikoura slips I'm used to too as well but the north lane wasn't as bad.

All worth it to meet my wee niece who is an awesome smiley wee thing and has done exceptionally well considering the genetic disadvantaging from her parents

Enjoy the beers n bullshit tonight guys

Flu? There was a real nasty one going around Picton as early as March. In bed for a week at least, some two.

Hahaha another 13 or so years without a conference then?

Yea, Springcreek 4 Square, 10am Sunday.
We'll head out Rarangi, around Port Underwood and then out to Tumbledown Bay.
Back track and cut off up the ridge track and then on to Picton.
All in all, it'll be an easy day.

Bucky is keen and Kokopelli is a possible at this time.

yep, got a good dose of the flu, last thing you want when you have to sit in a conference for 8 hours coughing your lungs up, fresh air and exhaust fumes would be the perfect remedy, see you Sunday

Hmm, could we make it across?

Probably not

What a neat place to ride around in.

Ben showed us the quickest way down.

Turned out that none of us were in a hurry.

This guy kept finding us, but he was the one who was lost.

That's how you cool down.

Great ride, thanks Deano.

Cheers for coming guys, and for being patient while I got used to the DRZs gravel manners.
All up it was 109kms for me, a nice wee Sunday ride

Here's the only decent pic I got, from Robin Hood Bay:
