Wonderful ride esp in a part of the world we dont get to see very often here on ADV. Enjoyed the lively narration & crisp pics. I dont know much about Jap & Korean food, but they look super yummy.

Btw, I am from Bangalore. Where are you from? I hope to be doing a 2-up bike trip with wife in Japan sometime in the future so maybe I could get some route tips from you.

Ride safe & thanks for sharing.

Good report! I'm from the kangwon providence and am very familiar with the area you rode. I rarely meet any korean americans from my providence. Sucks that I never got the chance to ride even when I was in the US military stationed in Korea. Dakalbi is pretty good, you gotta go with a bigger group so you can enjoy the fried rice afterwards! I saw you do noodles, so you could that instead as well. Highway 1 along the coast is a pretty good ride all the way up to the northwest corner of South Korea. Thanks for bringing back a lot of memories!!

Glad you enjoyed it.

I sure wish we had a way (I'm in South Korea right now) to let people know we're here...the roads ARE fantastic, and we love to show them off!

Took my band on tour through Japan twice. It is such a wonderful country and full of great roads. I found myself wishing I had my motorcycle with me.

Great ride report. Thanks for sharing.

Thumb Beautiful Views

What a beautiful country, thanks. FYI the colored balls hanging on the power lines are to warn low flying aircraft.

Phantom memorial. LOL. I don't think the non-desis would get it though.

Thank you all and I am glad you enjoyed the post. Good to hear compliments from fellow riders across the world!

Haroon, I am from Central India originally. Bhilai if you know the place. For you and anyone coming to Japan, if you want to ride just let me know in advance, I won't say I have ridden whole Japan but still I have done QUITE A LOT across Japan and would be happy to help and even ride together if I can. Japan is a beautiful country (you can see my other posts at www.riachan.com/wordpress, prefectures on the right hand menu on top page) and I am sure you will enjoy it.

G-Wing, thanks for clarifying, makes sense...!

Kumatae, thanks, I was advised to try the fried rice by after dam ghalbi by many people however I didn't get the chance or perhaps didn't get it served as I was alone. Nonetheless, had to leave something for next time :)
