Real Nice!

BTW, I got the Unifilter installed at 1200 miles. No dust behind the oem filter.

I've got about 700 mostly commuting miles on mine. There was that one trip to Mendocino, though. Now the bike is parked until my Unifilter comes from Aussieland. I'll take pics of my airbox when I get in there.

Waiting on UNI

85 miles, and not moving again until UNI gets here (tomorrow?). Not worth the risk, as I bought it for extensive use on dirt. Feel for the fellas with engine trouble. Sincerely do. Hang in there, and let's hope KTM makes it right.

I see you are in Arizona.... Some of the testing we do at work involves using Arizona road dust ( there is a spec for it!). It comes in fine or ultra fine type grades, costs about $ 200 for a gallon jug. My point is that stuff is pretty abrasive and wears the metal parts of our test equipment ( which have a much lower flow rate than an LC8).

I don't find fault in your logic.

He also wanted the name of my bike shop contact in my town, to send the filter overnight to them.

I told him that i love riding the 1190, he wanted to hug me, just kidding

I've called and left a msg with KTM USA yesterday… no call back as of yet.

I called my dealer and informed him of the issue and he stated "haven't heard of any issues".

I love my KTMs and I love the desert… appears the only solution at this point is to move to Australia (was there in the 80's and loved it) as I'm not seeing any support from KTM USA… not even acknowledgment there's an issue.

Im sorry to hear that my friend, its appears KTM USA is not giving a shit.
What you can do is ask to speak to the warranty department and try and get a name and an email.

I have the name of the warrany man here in Australia, it was on my pre delivery paperwork where they tick all the boxes they checked before the bike went in the crate.. the guys name email and phone number ...

Fortunately I bought the 4 year extended warranty when I bought the bike. So, with the warranty I bought and the 1 year factory warranty, I'm covered 100% for 5 years unlimited milage. It was $800 USD, but starting to think that was a bargain.

Since theres no bulletin or recall here in the USA, the dealer won't do the work since the bike only has 300 miles on it…. unless I shell-out $90 per hr labor to check it out.

So, I've parked the bike. Watched Nerb's video to see where all the screws are and will pull the tank and panels and check the filter this weekend. Will also order the Uni, but since I have a '14 I need to ensure the Uni works with the '14 due to the air box change (?) from the '13.

Not too worried since I only have 300 miles on it, but bummed out I've got park it for a bit.

Well… guess my trusty workhorse 950SE will have hold me over until the 1190 is back on the road. At least I'll be grinning since I'm riding the SE!

cheers!

Yes it does, it is a universal kit, part number "AU1436 KIT" fitting both the '13 and '14 airboxes. You can order it here, it's sent air mail same day your order it on-line, so quite quick:
