Now your talking my language! In all the years going to KM, I have never ever seen a ranger checking spark arrestors. Of course I don't hang out in camp much.

Hello, there's many scenic forest service roads to explore. There's also Sherman pass that will take you down to the Kern river. If you head north along the river you'll enter the giant sequoia national monument... trail of a hundred giants, etc. South along the river will take you to the town of Kernville. There's something up there for everyone. You can take it easy or go hardcore up there.

Wink KM scrap book pics

July 4th 2011

The long and lonely road to KM.

The ridge of Sherman pass.

Nice views from Sherman pass...

there was still snow in the high country that year.

I think I see M1 jeep here.

Yep, that's him!

Great BBQ

Where else can you ride motorcycles through high country meadows?

Great trails

Got ROCKS? Chris, you are correct, KM has something for evertone...

cold creeks

Camping in the trees. It gets COLD at night when it's 100+ in the valley.

Great views!

waterlogged big bikes...note the puddle on the ground.

Meadows...

Wet bikes in Rattlesnake creek

Monache...

DA Grinch is in DA house!

are you ready? See ya in the meadows...

End of promotional BS...

Hey! Now I recognize you! Your the guy who rode his DR650 to Means Dry lake from Lakewood back in 2010. That's when Brent (riceless) introduced me to the Beta. Sure do wish I could join you guys. Looks like a fun crew going up this year. Thanks Vance for putting up the pictures.

I will be heading up the last weekend of this month if anyone is interested. No hardcore shit. Just mellow trails. Mostly.....
