A sportsbike is on my wish list - just the winter hack (which I've now got) and GS but before a Harley and a Goldstar

For some reason I've always managed to avoid a "real" sports bike although I've ridden a few - anyhoo..

For me, either a Fireblade (old school) or a new Apillia RSV4R factory.

OK, or maybe a S1000RR - but I reckon I'd learn more with the 'blade or RSVR

I'm debating an RSV4 Tuono. Or a RSV4. Cannot decide on either or even if I want another bike. I wanna see 200K miles on my current Tuono twin.

when I was in High school and got bit by the bike bug REAL bad, this is when the CBR600F2 and the 900RR came out, so those for me will always kind of be holy grail kind of sport bikes.
I still have some Smokin' Joes Miguel Duhamel (signed) posters up in my garage - RC45 of course

Miguel is still my hero

wouldnt mind getting my hands on an RC45 either

i think that really comes down to riding position and your aesthetic prefs. V4 Tuono is down on power a bit from the RSV4, but from a buddy that has one, and several reviews I've read, it's still a crazy amount of power that is way too intoxicating and fun to use. read: get you in trouble kind of power. the RSV4 has pretty aggressive race ergos.

I've ridden both. I'm lucky that way. I work on 'em so I get to ride 'em all.

BTW the Panigale is a scary fast uncomfortable ass roaster of a beast with a razor sharp chassis. Unfortunately it's lacking the usual bottom end snap of a big twin. Sacrifices had to be made to get those big HP numbers. I can't stand the stinkbug feeling of the sporting Ducatis. That sound almost makes up for it though. Almost.

I know, I quoted the wrong post, meant the RC8.

Although the Ape is the only Italian bike I'd ever own.
