Kofa National Wildlife Refuge on Tourance tires?

Can the roads of the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge be managed on an R1200GS wearing Metzeler Tourance tires, or is the sand too loose?

The KOFA area is really cool. The tires should not be an issue either. Just don't do what we did and dive off in a deep sand wash.

I have ridden quite a bit of it. Unless weather steps in, most of these roads were passable in a passenger car. Get a map and stay on the roads, The Fish and wildlife Feds in the white pick ups can be real p**cks.
