2014 Puppy Dog Ride

Annual ride of the BMW of Vermont group. This year, we had the option to ride with Ms. Muriel through the 2008 route, a group of about 15 or so bikes. It was great fun.

On Friday (June 7), we rode from RI to Newport VT straight - Route 6, I-91 with a splash of Route 5 here and there ~336 miles. Our group of five stayed in a B&B in Newport.

On Saturday, first day of the event, the first sign I saw was "Canada 1 mile." Event started in Troy, VT we rode ~185 miles of dirt. Most of the group camped in Silverlake while my girlfriend and me rode 2 miles to Woodstock, VT and slept in a B&B.

On the second day the main group dispersed and everybody went their own way. One of us went back home and the remaining 4 got on the road at 9:00AM and rode for ~10 hours and 200+ miles on dirt all the way from Silverlake State Park, VT to Greenfield, MA. Then from there on took Route 2A, 32 and 44 and some highway back home.

Twisties on the dirt is the best!
