990 smt stalling

2013 990 smt 6000 klms

Was out riding when I realized she wouldn't pull past 8000rpm. Since then it has gotten so bad that I can only run for a few minutes before it stalls. If I restart , it runs OK for a few minutes then more misery.

I'm thinking filters or pump. Can you change out the filters without removing the tank? I've got the KTM crashbars. It's hard to believe that I've got a new bike that is forcing me to pull over every few minutes just to get home.

The fuel I'm using is the same premium as I am running in my other vehicles without a problem. Seems like if the filters are packed, it must be manufacturing debris in the tank. I'm far from a dealer so this is a drag.

Wasn't expecting these machines to be unreliable as they are used for adventure touring.

Buy a filter kit, pull the tank and replace them. You got a dose of dirty fuel somewhere, it happens...

You can get a great deal on filters from Gefr on the vendors thread.

Or sell this piece of crap to me, cheap.

Check to see if the breather vent on the tank isn't pinched, that's weird.
I have lots of miles on my SMT and no issues with pumps or filters.
Petcocks open on both sides? Recent service?

Pulled off the tube from the gas cap and I can blow air in it. The Petcocks are full counterclockwise.

I've got a 6 hour return trip to a dealer...in a truck with my trailer queen KTM
