I just wanted to check in and say that you guys have ginormous cahones. I've ridden mountain bikes in Downieville for the last 20 years. Its because of a legit over the bars at high speed on Butcher that I've given up riding mountain bikes. So in need of a way around the hills I just bought a DRZ400. I honestly cannot believe you guys ride first and second divides. Blows my mind. Hats off!

Hey Kug!

No worries, we can customize an easy, scenic, back in the saddle ride just for you next season.

I know about getting back in the saddle after a riding injury. With time, effort and dedication you will come back stronger than ever. (I know, we're all racing the clock w/ father time...)

Yea, the Downieville Classic MTB race is on the same trails.

Keep us posted of any more Baja adventures this winter/early spring.

Off to Idaho to not bust my ass...

Thanks for the video, Dave!
Wow, I didn't realize you were behind us for so long.

Not our best showing, but it didn't look nearly as ugly and sloppy as I had feared it would. Whew.
Matt was riding pretty conservatively, trying to avoid hurting me (more).
I was in so much pain, I could barely keep my foot on the peg.
Every bounce and jolt was agony and it really messed up my balance.
I'm not usually such an awkward sack of potatoes.

It was fun to see the video, we appreciate you taking the time to put that together and post!
Also, thank you for not discouraging us from taking the big bike on your trails,
I know it must have been difficult, but I hope you saw that we try hard not to tear them up.

Hopefully we will ride with you again some day, maybe on something more open...
The rest of your loop (with the scenic lookouts) sounds pretty great.

kelly

p.s. thanks, Joel, it's getting better.

Thanks for sharing your GREAT videos Dave!!! Is that a Contour or what under your visor?
I like that perspective better than gopro+mount on top of helmet.

That was IMPRESSIVE to watch Jordan, Bartek, & Matt ride that singletrack so confidently! Especially
along 1st Divide! Gentlemen, Well DONE!!!
