I have made it to the valley & have some time before I take possession of a house - so I will be doing some exploring.

Here is a route I want to try this week some time.

If anyone has some time and is interesting in joining me let me know.

For another ride I am also interested in heading west to Douglas Lake & Merritt via the Bear Lake Main sometime with a civilized lunch at Brambles in Merritt.

Give me a shout if your interested and have time.

J

^^^^^

When your going through Douglas lake ranch watch out for cattle and logging trucks especially when you get past Salmon lake resort and drop into the valley.
It is a very narrow valley, grave rd and lots of twistys, be sure to look up once in a while and see the volcanic hoodoos.
Falkland has a great pub/restaurant for lunch

Yeah, I was going to mention Gillard FS(start of ride #1) and Bear Main (start of ride#2) are active logging roads, along with Chute Lake Road between the resort and the pavement between indian Rocks and Naramata. Be careful, the trucks appear quickly and for some reason always in spots where there aren't a lot of options - and they are paid by the load.

The OK falls FSR also known as the #201 haul RD is scary if your not watching out, I have even seen over sized trucks up there (Big Pacificos, 10 foot or more wide)

I'd be up for a rip up to Hunter's Range. I'm getting a little weary of the A-loop "dual sport" rides the regular suspects like to go out on, beats up the equipment, and the ribs!
Not me, been too busy to put the GS on the road. Been playing with race cars and the ST, and now the side-car experiment. Maybe by fall I'll have time for some dirt

I just wanted to subscribe to this thread, although I'm usually down for some more aggressive dual sport rides!

I ride a 2014 KTM 690 Enduro, so give me a wave if you see me around!

Active hauling can be 7 days a week in some areas, but for the most part Monday-Friday.
This time of year you have the crazies out there on there on bikes and quads trying to go as fast as possible, and you have the campers/fisherman that like to drive down the center of the logging roads, so if your going out, watch your speed the blind corners and get prepared to ditch the bike in a moments notice.

Leo Vince SBK Slip-ons

Hello Okanagan KTM 990 Adv riders.

I have a pair of Leo Vince slip-ons and mid pipe I don't need anymore.

They are 07-08 era. I think they will fit all 990's. Look to be aluminum with titanium end caps.

$250. Come and pick them up!
