I always thought closed gates and red sign post meant that there's good stuff beyond them to check out

but yes, as jerry points out, if it does not say no vehicles / no trespassing, then ????

some of us would call that the squid filter

You're sliding down this thing just hoping to stay on.

So going up that is not happening, unless you ride like a complete ''BOSS'' which i dont, therefore you have to go around the gate to get out.
Oh man, I know exactly what you are talking about - trail had some sort of generic brown marker and no indication that you are leaving the OHV area. Rode down a crazy trail with switchback stairs. No way I was able to go back up that without a trials bike. Ended up lifting the bike over a big rock by a gate after finding no other way out.

You can ride around some gates in SB area (Buckhorn maybe?). They are soft closures for trucks / SUV's /Side by sides but OK for OHV's.

Does anyone know if the fire road beyond the fire station (Santa Clara truck trail) off Little Tujunga is legal? I saw no closed signs and a few parked cars last time I was mountain biking back there.

The fact that all of you are talking about doing or not doing illicit activities on a public forum by a potential LEO troller just cracks me up....

Isn't this the second time in six months that someone with no history is asking about closed gates? Coincidence? Seems odd.
