Spring 2014 RedNEK Rendezvous Big Bike Tracks

172 miles on scenic gravel/dirt in central/eastern Vermont with a visit to the abandoned radar base on East Mountain. Big bike friendly, but requires appropriate bike handling skills and knobby-ish tires. Gas stops are numerous, as well as places to grab a snack or a meal. About 6 hours total ridden with short stops, or makes a solid day if you like to linger
Spring RedNEK 2014.gpx. A very scenic ride.

Note: I fixed a minor error in the tracks. The cleaned up version is in the next post.

I just discovered a minor error in the tracks -- some additional points were generated that shouldn't be there.

The cleaned-up version is here: Spring RedNEK 2014 Big Bike.gpx

Hey, thanks for posting. I couldn't make the 'NEK, but I'm always looking for good big big rides in New England. I'm sure I'll hit that sometime this summer!

If you check out the the past few RedNEKs, you can make a mega-loop for a number of days of good big bike riding.

Spring 2013: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=889081

Fall 2012: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=829036

The only issue that I know of is that access from the Paul Stream Road to the Granby Road is blocked. There's a go-around off the Radar Road.

Here's a composite of the RedNEKs thus far: Many, many miles of gravel riding.
