STUCK! in the parking lot of Starbucks;-)

East of Leadville, Colorado on Mosquito Pass. I figured, "hey, if a mountain bike can make it, so can I". I was wrong Dragging 530 lbs of machine backwards and uphill at 12,500' was a real treat! Uh the Adventures of Life

Well it looks like you made it. Next time bring the tire chains. "Cool" photos. Wish I was there.

I can see why you tried it. Definitely looks passable in the photo without the bike stuck in there.

The "Starbucks" thing is a little joke that I use in my threads. As you know, REAL adventure riders only cruise around with the panniers on while searching for the next Starbucks to park up front at and "show the World" what a real men ride these days. I prefer to defy that moniker. So, as you can see the Starbucks reference is purely sarcastic in nature............

Need to talk to them about their snow removal. Next time, get a super mega grande and pour it out and melt the snow.

Did you get through, or have to turn around (asks the guy who might be there next week)?

there are times that I really consider purchasing one of the Warn winches for the bike. One snow stake and a winch and about 20 minutes and you'd be thru there and on your way.

down here, it's usually mud pits or your bike just tumbled into a ravine :)

I turned around. When I got to the bottom of the pass a lady asked me how far I made it. I pointed to the switchback and said right there. Almost had it. She said, " no you didnt! The north side still has 8' of snow. I think they are bringing the dozer in this weekend to clear it for the burro race". I said ? She then filled me in on the upcoming human and burro race up and over the pass. So, in a few weeks it should be clear of snow but may be full of burro droppings Think I'd prefer the snow
